Sylvania Football Club would like to extend an invitation to the U8s/W8s teams at your club to participate in our Annual Under 8's Gala Day.
This event is open to all Under 8 sides of any grade and will be held on Sunday 16 August 2026 at the Sylvania Heights fields at Box Road Reserve, Sylvania. (Box Rd 3 and 4 – Lower fields)
The day commences at 9.00am and finishes between 2.00-4.00pm, depending on whether teams make it to the finals rounds.
The entry fee is:
• $230.00 per team
Payment should only be made ONCE CONFIRMATION OF PARTICIPATION is received from the Gala Day Co-ordinator.
The competitions running on the day are as
follows:
Boys:
- The Presidents Cup (predominantly A and B grade teams)
- The Treleaven Cup (predominantly C and D grade teams)
- The Robins Cup (E Grade and below)
Girls:
- The Hatton Cup (predominantly A and B grade teams)
- The Harris Cup (C Grade and Below)
It is necessary to restrict the maximum number of teams to 10 for each competition for the amenity of players and parents alike.
All players must have played in the SSFA winter competition in an U8 team or lower ie. a player who is age appropriate, but is playing in the U9/10 SSFA Comp is NOT eligible to compete in the Gala Day.
Registration of player names on the day is not necessary.
All players will receive a medallion on the day and those making it through to their respective final will also receive a trophy. There will be full canteen and BBQ facilities available on the day.
In the case of rain we will notify club secretaries of the next best available date for the Gala Day, if possible, or notify of the requirement to cancel.
